Tuesday October 15
The Indiana Interchurch Center
1100 West 42nd Street
This Hunger Banquet is an interactive experience for the purpose of educating the public about international hunger, poverty, and injustice and prompting people to take action.
When you enter you will draw a random ticket that tells you what country you are from, some basic statistics about that country, and your social-economic class. Please arrive early so the program can begin promptly at 6:30.
Jim Morris, President of the Indiana Pacers and former Executive Director of the World Food Programme, will be delivering the opening remarks.
After this we will eat and then break into discussion groups to share our experiences and insights. Before and after the event there will be opportunities to connect with local and global organizations that conduct hunger relief and/or development work.
The Indianapolis Oxfam Action Corps encourages you to attend this event and use your voice to speak up about global poverty, hunger, and injustice.
